Southwest Stars FTP Option Enables Customers to Download Recovered Data Instantly Via the Internet
San Antonio, Texas, Feb 15 -- Southwest Stars today announced their new data retrieval service that allows Southwest Stars' customers to receive their recovered data over high speed secured transmission lines. For instance, 100 megabytes of data can be transferred in as quickly as 8 minutes. Customers with slow modems will also be able to benefit from this service.
"Our customers, both international and domestic, can now receive their recovered information in just minutes instead of days," said Lila York, President of Southwest Stars. "When people lose data, they want it back NOW. This product brings us a lot closer to that reality."
Besides rescuing data lost to such "mundane" problems as viruses, power surges, customer errors and mechanical failure, Southwest Stars has even recovered data from "severely traumatized" drives including many that have been dropped, burnt, crushed and even drowned.
Some of the more noteworthy stories from the Southwest Stars' archives include rescuing the data from a laptop that sank to the bottom of the Mississippi River, and another that was run over by a shuttle bus and recovered data from Corrupt Norton Ghost files!
Southwest Stars continually rescues data others have abandoned. As a leader in data recovery, Southwest Stars employs proprietary techniques and custom software utilities to address specific recovery challenges. Southwest Stars can recover data from virtually all operating systems and rotating media including hard drives, floppies, CD ROM, removable and magneto-optical cartridges.
